The Women Physicians Society of India began as a modest yet powerful initiative. On a warm day in May 2023, nearly 100 women physicians connected through a WhatsApp group titled “Women Physicians of India Forum.”

About WOPICON
WOPICON is the national academic conference of Women Physicians Society, with aim to promote knowledge exchange, address clinical challenges, and showcases research while empowering women in medicine.
The WOPICON 2025 inaugural conference at SRMS Bareilly saw strong participation and was graced by Padma Shri Late Dr. Alaka Deshpande. WOPICON 2026 will be held on 8–9 August at BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur. This year’s theme being ‘Innovate, Inspire and Lead’ WOPICON 2026 aims to bring together clinicians, researchers, and young physicians for academic exchange and networking.
